Origin of 1-800-PLUMBING®

The original vision for 1-800-PLUMBING® came from Beth Cline, a licensed plumber based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Long before vanity branding became common in modern service marketing, Beth recognized the long-term value of a memorable national plumbing number and secured the rights to 1-800-PLUMBING® with the vision of building a recognizable platform that independent plumbing operators could benefit from.

Beth believed strong branding advantages should not be limited only to large franchise organizations.

After her passing in 2002, her brother Alan Cline continued building the company around that original vision, preserving the idea that memorable inbound branding could provide meaningful value to independent plumbing businesses across the country.
